- Perform and document the AS FOUND condition of the pipette.
- Perform preventative maintenance, which includes cleaning and inspection of internal and external parts of the pipette.
- Replace worn or defective parts, as necessary.
- Lubricate according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Reassemble the pipette and allow time for the pipette to equilibrate.
- Perform and document the AS LEFT condition of the pipette.
- Apply a calibration label stating the Gage ID number, date calibrated, calibration due date and the technicians initials responsible for calibrating your pipette.
- Issue a NIST Certificate of Calibration for that pipette within 48 hours of its completion.
